Help for Heroes was one of the earliest contributors to HorseBack. Their support, generosity and encouragement continue to this day. We would not be the organisation we are without them.
We have witnessed lives changed and lives saved through the work we do here. There are veterans who have told us, in terms, that they would not be here today without HorseBack. As anyone who works in the third sector knows, raising funds for a small charity is an endless and difficult business. Help for Heroes has taken a huge part of that burden from our shoulders and enabled us to concentrate on our core mission, which is to help those who have sacrificed and suffered for their country to have a second act.
Even without life-changing injury or the long battle against Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, the transition from military to civilian life can be a rocky one. HorseBack gives those who have served a chance to restore their belief in themselves, build their confidence, and look forward to a meaningful future. What is found here, in the blue Scottish hills, is hope.
That hope would not be possible without Help for Heroes.
