We have wonderful news: Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall has become our patron.
The support of Her Royal Highness means so much to us. As some of you know, she came on a visit in 2019, and her knowledge, enthusiasm and empathy shone through. She put a smile on everyone’s face, and we were beyond delighted when she decided take up the role of patron.
Above all, the Duchess of Cornwall is a horsewoman, so she understands at a deep level the incredible bond that can develop between horse and human. Her years of experience with horses led her to comprehend instantly how our HorseBack herd help both veterans and children.
She supports charities which work in the field of education and the armed forces, so this fits in perfectly with the work we do here. We are dedicated to helping those who have served and who face the challenges of life-changing injury, both physical and mental. Our programmes help these veterans make a more positive transition into civilian life, and are a way of thanking them for their service and letting them know they are not forgotten.
Our Youth programmes are devoted to giving young people a better chance in life, and we are currently extending those programmes with our new partnership with the Prince’s Trust.
Having Her Royal Highness in our corner is just the boost we need after these long months of lockdown. It is a privilege which makes us feel galvanised and hopeful for the future. It is as if a glorious, following wind has filled the HorseBack sails, so that we can embark with confidence on the next part of our voyage.
